Bought them for my daughter's birthday. She loves them!Great shoes, fit nicely, keep my feet warm when waiting for public transit. Looking into buying another pair in a different color. Nice quality so far, no noticeable breaking down of the materials 2 months in.All the good of the OG Sk8 Hi, but with better materials, more comfort, and non leather lining, so taking it off isn’t a bear. I have 3 pairs of MTE’s, they’re worth the extra money.I'm hesitate when it comes to purchasing shoes online since fitment is never the same from shoe to shoe. But since Amazon has a good return policy, I figured what the hec. Shoes came in and fit my daughter perfectly. If she's happy, I'm happy....not to have to deal with any returns.College son found it really suited walking to classes along slushy streets in the winter when didn't want to wear full boots.I wasn't aware of the winter lining on the inside, but have no complaints.. shoes have held up greatGreat shoes! Just what I needed.Great quality worth your buy. true to size.So much better made than my non-MTE Hi tops from the same manufacturer. Feel more sturdy and way more comfortable. The lining keeps your feet warm in the winter while not being too hot to wear as the sun begins to appear in the springtime, and they just laugh in the face of puddles and rainfall. I have only stopped wearing them now that summer is in full swing after wearing them every day for 5-6 months. They are still in great condition and ready for the autumn. One word of warning - don't tug on the loops at the back of the shoe whilst putting them on - one of mine ripped right off in my hand with minimal force. Disappointing, but entirely my own stupid fault.Love this shoe, so good looking. But, yep a but, I’ve worn it so few times there’s no wear on the sole (12?). Noticed last time I wore them (maybe two weeks ago) that there is a toe hole. I have probably dropped stuff on my feet, but my toenails are not long. So disappointed that I can’t exchange them, worried anyway that replacements suede will be as defective?MTE hi-tops are my Vans preference, on my third pair, never disappoint, fit as they should, comfy for prolonged periods of wearing. If you are not familiar with the MTE range, let me set expectations, dont be fooled into thinking they are extremely rugged, mega durable or a suitable alternative to proper 'outdoor footwear', as they are not! They are however a comfier alternative to Vans classics that offer a better level of warmth with some level of water repellence.Superbly comfortable and warmer than standard vans in Winter. I've seen some reviews complaining the MTEs aren't waterproof. I think the point is if you want to go hiking, buy hiking boots, not fashion trainers/sneakers/boots.My second pair of similar bought at a bargain £42First let me say I've worn regular size 10 UK footwear for well over 30 years. Secondly I've owned many pairs of Vans size 10 UK over the last 20+ years. That said these pinched my toes, and were tatty looking with the eyelet panel being dogeared on one side.
